Lessons in Dutch and English.

About the lessons:

We’ll use theater games, improvisation and more to give a broad introduction to what theater exercises can be like.  There are 3 lessons about audio drama, which will finish with a recording. No previous experience necessary to take part, the emphasis will be on doing, not skill or memorization.  Just bring an open mind, enthusiasm and comfortable clothes to enjoy a safe, informative and creative series of lessons.

About the teachers:

Frieda Jacobowitz has been teaching for many years:  flute, English and recently drama as well.  A love of teaching and the gratification of helping students improve their skills, be it in languages, music, theater or something else, never fails to give her a thrill. We’ll be working on theater games and concentration exercises.

Nina Cohen has a lot of experience in the theater. About her lesson: improvisation is an important part of your development as an actor. You learn to listen and respond well to your fellow players and to concentrate on the moment. It requires flexibility to adapt on the spot to an unexpected turn in the scene and to let yourself be taken into the story.

Liza Pevzner did her final exams in drama and continued with the preparatory course LOT at Theater School Utrecht. After auditioning at various drama schools in the Netherlands, she started her studies in 2020 at the ArtEZ Docent Theater training in Zwolle. There she focuses her creative work on classical and absurd theater and is preparing for a teaching career in drama.

Oscar Ramspek has a lot of experience as a musician, teacher and with audio/video technique.  He will introduce the participants to the world of audio drama including information about microphones, voice acting and recording techniques.
