9:30 to 10:30 / Alexander Technique with Leonie Stevens

Leonie Stevens, certified teacher in Alexander Technique and cello teacher at the Amstelveen Music and Dance School, Platform C, will give an introductory workshop Alexander Technique.
Alexander Technique can teach you to move, speak, dance and make music with less tension and ‘in a flow’. In addition, it can can help to break through and prevent patterns that create tension and cause injuries.

10:30 to 11:30 / Theater Workshop for Young People

Join us for fun exercises, theater games, improvisation, personal expression, and pure fun!  All experience levels welcome.

11:30 to 12:30 / Theater Workshop for Adults

Whether skilled or a novice, discover your inner actor through theater exercises and games in a safe and encouraging environment.

13:00 to 14:00 / MUSICALS!  A Workshop For All Ages

One of our most popular offerings in the past, join us as we journey through the history of musicals.  You’ll be invited to sing along and experience how musical “staging” enhances musical performance.  For an impression of this workshop click here 

14:00 – 15:00 / Fiddler On The Roof (Anatevka)

Learn about our planned upcoming performance of this internationally acclaimed musical.  You will be invited to sing along with us as we share some of the beautiful music and learn about the chronicle of life for traditional Jews in Imperial Russia around the turn of the 20th century.

15:00 – 16:00 / Shake Hands With Shakespeare

Explore and experience the genius of the Elizabethan English playwright and poet William Shakespeare.  (Texts in English)

16:00 – 17:00 /  A Dutch-language Play Reading

Have you ever read a play out loud with a group of friends?  Here is your chance to have fun, laugh, and enjoy the comradery of reading a Dutch play with others.  No experience necessary!

COVID update

Following the newest regulation, we require that participants can either testify of their vaccinations with the QR code or show a negative test of less than 72hrs.
As the activity is taking place in the church, COVID check is not required, however we care about your well-being, comfort and health. You are welcome to do whatever makes you feel more comfortable, such as keeping your mask on or requesting some distances. However, keep in mind that the workshops require physicality, movement and group practices and that distancing might not be insured at all time.
The open day will take into consideration all the current guidelines issued by the Dutch Government and RIVM regarding COVID-19. In case of stricter regulations coming into effect over the period, we will adapt according to these regulations.
